Lismore Farmers Market
In 2022, Lismore went through one of its most devastating weather systems... with floods that reached levels that were not previously recorded.
At the time of this event, I was living in Lismore and saw the devastating effect these floods had on the entire community.

Lismore Farmers Markets was one of those much-loved places that were severely impacted. Days after the flood waters receded, Louise, the organiser of the markets and all of the stall holders decided to continue on and clean up the mess caused by the floods and deliver what Lismore needed.

I spoke to Louise on several occasions, (having had a stall there myself with my partner) and her determination and resilience as well as honesty made me see what an amazing woman she is.

The Norco fair was coming up and she was after a postcard to convey what Lismore is about. We discussed what she was after and the colour scheme. After careful consideration on my part, I delivered this beautiful postcard which we had made for her, ready to hand out to the people of Lismore.

The photo on the right was taken by me on a beautiful cattle farm I was living on at the time.

The postcard includes a windmill among a field of flowers with birds flying overhead. A beautiful scene reminiscent of what you will see when you visit this iconic region.
